Secretary of Defense, the Honorable Dr. Mark T. Esper and the commander, North American Aerospace Defense Command and U.S. Northern Command, North American Aerospace Defense Command and U.S. Northern Command uses a secure video chat tool to speak directly with military medical professionals currently deployed throughout the U.S. at the command’s headquarters, May 7. Secretary Esper and Gen. O'Shaughnessy discussed how U.S. Northern Command conducted COVID-19 response operations through virtual edge computing and cloud based servers. The visit also gave Secretary Esper the opportunity to express his gratitude to NORAD and USNORTHCOM personnel for defending the homeland while contributing to the whole of America response to the pandemic.
