Blake Tornga, Naval Support Facility Diego Garcia’s commanding officer, visits Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5’s construction sites and awards Builder Constructionman Benjamin Weinwreich, Construction Electrician Constructionman Skylar Knight and Construction Electrician Constructionman Keshawn Johnson, with commanding officer coins. U.S. Navy Seabees with NMCB-5 are constructing Tension Fabric Structures in support of the U.S. Air Force at Diego Garcia, British Indian Ocean Territory. NMCB-5 is deployed across the Indo-Pacific region conducting high quality construction to support U.S. and partner nations to strengthen partnerships, deter aggression, and enable expeditionary logistics and naval power projection.
