(May 12, 2020) Aviation Boatswain’s Mate (Handling) 2nd Class Luke Gallo, a native of New Bethlehem, Pa., stationed aboard Nimitz-class nuclear aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70), sanitizes a thermometer used to conduct touchless temperature checks on the pier at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS & IMF). Touchless temperature checks are part of a health screening assessment conducted before personnel enter PSNS & IMF as a daily preventative measure against COVID-19.
