Alaska Army National Guard Specialists Christopher Hatfield, Zachery Burg, Edgar Sandoval, Kalen Willis, Joseph Academia, and David Lapuz, all assigned to Joint Task Force-Alaska have been patrolling Kodiak harbor since May 1 to assist the city of Kodiak with COVID-19 safety measures. These precautions are of significant importance due to Gov. Mike Dunleavy’s recent mandate 018 that went into effect on May 12. This centralized all requirements related to intrastate travel and increased the ability of individuals within Alaska to travel. (Courtesy photo)
