FORT CARSON, Colo. — The Fort Carson Auto Skill Center (ASC) reopened to active-duty service members April 27, 2020. Servicemembers are required to provide their own facial coverings and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) while working on their autos at the shop. Auto Skills Center staff also wear PPE and are available to assist and advise shop users with their projects. COVID-19 measures are being followed at the shop during operational hours, including social-distancing guidelines. Currently, the shop is open to service members Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from noon to 6 p.m. Acting shop manager, Mike Hubbard, said the shop staff plans to possibly expand operational days and allow DOD civilians to use the shop in the future. All service members must hold a current Fort Carson ASC shop card and a DOD ID card to use the ASC. (Photo by Scott Prater)
