An A-10C Thunderbolt II takes off for flight May 15, 2020, at Moody Air Force Base, Georgia Aircraft assigned to the 23d Wing conducted Moody Salutes flyovers for hospitals in Valdosta, Tifton, Albany, Moultrie and Thomasville, Ga., and Tallahassee, Fla., to show solidarity and support for healthcare professionals amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. The 23d WG commander has this to say regarding the flyovers: “The time, dedication and sacrifice that these men and women have invested in this fight are what make them heroes; this flyover is a small tribute and our way to say, ‘thank you.’” (U.S. Air Force photo by 2nd Lt.
