Staff Sgt. Ramon Perez, a criminal investigator with Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force - Southern Command, defends his position against opposing forces during a field exercise at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, May 7, 2020. Marines reversed their blouse inside-out to simulate enemy forces during training. The Marines train and perform a variety of infantry skill evaluations during the field exercise to help sharpen their overall capabilities. These training events assist the Marines and Sailors when working alongside partner nations in Latin America and the Caribbean with crisis response preparedness, security cooperation training, and engineering projects. Perez is a native of Newark, New Jersey. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl. Benjamin D. Larsen)
