200519-N-FA444-1042 PHILIPPINE SEA (May 19, 2020) - Gunner's Mate Seaman Aaron Harris, from Waverly, Ohio, inspects a MK 38 Mod 2 25mm machine gun system on the main deck of U.S. 7th Fleet flagship USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19). The Mod 2 was developed to improve ship self-defense and meet the needs of ships throughout the fleet. Blue Ridge is the oldest operational ship in the Navy and, as 7th Fleet command ship, actively works to foster relationships with allies and partners in the Indo-Pacific region.
