A repatriation ceremony marking the return of a collection of cultural property, art and antiquities looted from Peru to their rightful owners – the people of Peru, was held July 12. The objects were seized by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations in New York, Delaware, Texas, and West Virginia. The reclaimed objects include nine colonial paintings, a monstrance, and four pre-Columbian objects. Pictured here is a silver-Gilt and Enamel Monstrance.
