PORTSMOUTH, Va. (June 16, 2020) – Rear Adm. Edward Cashman, commander, Standing NATO Maritime Group 1, pins a commendation medal on Lt. Cmdr. Derek Austin. Austin and Cmdr. Edwin Landaker, assigned to Naval Medical Center Portsmouth (NMCP), were recognized during an award ceremony at NMCP June 16. Landaker and Austin received commendation medals awarded by the commander of the U.S. Second Fleet and Joint Force Command Norfolk, for their work aboard the hospital ship USNS Comfort (T-AH-20) in New York City.
