FONDA FAIRGROUNDS, FONDA NY - (June 19, 2020) - Members of the New York National Guard help build food packages as part of a Joint Task Force mission. Residents of Montgomery County and surrounding areas have been adversely impacted by the health and economic stresses caused by the COVID-19 outbreak. Local officials have organized to assist with a drive thru food distribution event to mitigate the impact. Specifically, a drive-thru food pantry at the Fonda Fairgrounds. The members are just a part of 3500 soldiers and airmen currently on duty as part of New York’s response to COVID-19.
