Ryan Gmerek, an intern biologist, currently doing a rotation in the Environmental Analysis Section of the Army Corps of Engineers, Buffalo District, tosses a rack into the Pymatuning Reservoir at Pymatuning State Park June 15 to see if there is any invasive aquatic vegetation growing in that portion of the reservoir.
The Buffalo District spent two days helping Pennsylvania Dept. of Conservation and Natural Resources and Ohio Department of Natural Resources survey for nonnative vegetation that might need to be eradicated before it becomes a nuisance.
