USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) Operations

200624-N-DL524-1036 PHILIPPINE SEA (June 24, 2020) Aviation Boatswain’s Mate (Fuels) Airmen Rafael Peña, left, from Brownsville, Texas, and Danny Hernandez, from Grand Island, Nebraska, review procedures prior to testing JP-5 fuel samples in the quality surveillance lab aboard the Navy’s only forward-deployed aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). Fuel is transferred to the ship during replenishments-at-sea and immediately tested for any impurities such as dirt, water and sediment. Ronald Reagan, the flagship of Carrier Strike Group 5, provides a combat-ready force that protects and defends the United States, as well as the collective maritime interests of its allies and partners in the Indo-Pacific region.
