James Scholfield, squadron surgeon, 4th Squadron, 2d Cavalry Regiment, enlisted the assistance of Maj. Brian Mims, senior physician assistant, 2CR, in order to successfully design and 3D print face masks to offer comparable protection to the N-95 medical respirator to Soldiers. These 3D printed reusable face masks have been distributed across both the 2d Cavalry Regiment and the installation, increasing the ability to safely training during the pandemic.
