The swept wing photo reconnaissance version of the RF-84 Thunderflash dubbed “Sioux City Sue” is on the ramp in Sioux City, Iowa on October 08, 2013. The newly refurbished RF-84 was painted to depict the paint scheme from the late 1950’s when the 174th Tactical Reconnaissance Squadron, Iowa Air National Guard flew photo reconnaissance missions with the RF-84. The moniker “Sioux City Sue” was adopted from the 1945 song of the same name. The aircraft will be put back on static display in Sioux City, Iowa. U.S. Air National Guard Photo by Master Sgt. Vincent De Groot
