An official Congressional Record dated Oct. 30, 2013 recognizes the marriage of Marvin Tucker, emergency manager, 452nd Air Mobility Wing (right), and his husband Joshua Delgado. Their story was told by Congressman Mark Takano on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives. The couple is the first same-sex couple to be married at March Air Reserve Base on Aug. 3, 2013. Earlier that year, the Supreme Court struck down the 1996 Defense of Marriage Act, and deemed that California's Proposition 8 was unconstitutional, which entitled legally married, same-sex couple the same federal benefits as married, opposite sex couples.
