U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Jesus Ugalde, a heavy equipment operator with Marine Wing Support Squadron (MWSS) 373, Marine Wing Support Group 37, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, posts security during the construction of a forward operating base (FOB) at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Calif., June 24, 2020. The FOB was built in preparation of aircraft recovery training where explosive ordnance disposal technicians, heavy equipment operators, motor transport Marines and combat engineers with MWSS-373 will work hand-in-hand to retrieve a simulated downed aircraft. The ability to retrieve aircraft without the aid of outside resources increases the unit’s effectiveness and their expeditionary capabilities. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl.
