U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Jacksovnille District, Antilles Area personnel conducted a final inspection of the Salud Creek Streambank Protection project, Friday June 26, 2020. Project features included, clearing and grubbing approximately 420 linear feet of channel embankment, the installation of a high performance turf reinforcement mat along the channel, repairs to two concrete culvert outfalls, and approximately 100 linear feet of cement grouted embankment armoring. The $2 million project will reduce erosion generated by the velocity of channel flow and culvert discharges along the creek. Photo by Catalina Carrasco
