Sgt. Jacob Eader, a Soldier assigned to the Ohio National Guard’s 1st Battalion, 134th Field Artillery Regiment, builds a wash station for vegetables on an urban farm June 23, 2020, in Columbus, Ohio. Eader, who is a carpenter in his civilian job, and other 1-134th Soldiers have been supporting Mid-Ohio Foodbank’s operations during the COVID-19 pandemic since late March. The farm project supports the food bank’s access to fresh produce and will also be a site to provide community education and engagement on urban farming and agriculture.
