    Michigan National Guard

    Michigan National Guard Soldiers and Airmen from the 51st Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) Civil Support Team (CST), based out of Fort Custer Training Center in Augusta, Michigan, conducted multi-local authority training while continuing to strengthen partnerships within Michigan communities, Traverse City, Michigan, June 24, 2020. The 51st WMD-CST-is 1 of the 57 WDM-CSTs in the National Guard that are located in every state, U.S. Territory, and Washington, D.C. Their primary responsibility is to identify hazardous chemical agents and substances, assess current and projected consequences, advise on response measures and assist with requests for additional support.
