Soldiers assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion, 1st Infantry Division demonstrate the setup of a AN/MPQ-64 Sentinel Aerial Surveillance Radar during a Division-wide field exercise, June 11, 2020, on Fort Riley, Kansas. This exercise enables Air Defense Artillery Soldiers the ability to hone in on skill sets to man the Sentinel Aerial Surveillance Radar, which provides persistent air surveillance and fire control quality data through command and control systems to defeat Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), cruise missiles and fixed- and rotary-wing aircraft threats.
