    31st Marine Expeditionary Unit

Sgt. Reed Hill, an explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) technician with Combat Logistics Battalion 31, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), places detonation line and a C4 charge during an ordinance detonation range on Okinawa, Japan, July 13, 2020. At the range, EOD utilized explosives to safely dispose of simulated unexploded ordinance and improvised explosive devices. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps’ only continuously forward-deployed MEU, provides a flexible and lethal force ready to perform a wide range of military operations as the premier crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region. The 31st MEU has implemented strict health protection measures and will continue to conduct mission essential training in support of regional security and stability. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Sgt.
