A U.S. Air Force F-15E Strike Eagle from Royal Air Force Lakenheath and an RAF F-35B Lightning II from RAF Marham fly in formation November 27, 2018. The inventory of combat aircraft assigned to the 48th Fighter Wing will nearly double by the end of 2023 with the addition of two full squadrons of F-35A Lightning IIs operating alongside existing F-15E Strike Eagles squadrons.
