Capt. Amaquah Bonsu, Company Commander, Army Recruiting Company Little Rock, Arkansas prepares for the change of command ceremony.

Lt. Col. John Garcia, outgoing Battalion Commander, US Army Recruiting Battalion - Oklahoma City and Lt. Col. Jacob Cecka, incoming Battalion Commander, participate in a change of command ceremony at the Norman Armed Forces Reserve Center, Oklahoma.

Lt. Col. Garcia served as the commander for two years and is responsible for overseeing the entry of over 5,000 Soldiers.

The US Army Recruiting Battalion - Oklahoma City recruits and enlists all U.S. Army and U.S. Army Reserve Soldiers within their 225,000 square mile area. This area spans across Oklahoma, Arkansas along with portions of Kansas and Texas.

“This experience has been amazing. I have been fortunate enough to oversee the recruiting of so many great Americans who have decided to take their Oath of Enlistment and serve their country,” said Lt. Col. John Garcia. “To be part of this live changing event for so many Soldiers has been deeply rewarding and humbling.”
