Members of the 442d Fighter Wing gathered June 12, 2020, to celebrate the retirement of Chief Master Sgt. Jeffrey Strawn. Strawn served 30 years in the United States Air Force. He began his career in 1990 when he enlisted into active duty and trained as a firefighter. In 1997 he joined the Air Force Reserve and subsequently, the 442d Civil Engineer Squadron. Strawn earned the position of Fire Chief for the 442d Fighter Wing in 2013. He additionally worked as a civilian firefighter in Columbia, Mo.
