U.S. Marine Sgt. Fernando Mata, a crew chief with Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 169, Marine Aircraft Group 39, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, fires an M134 GAU-17 minigun from a UH-1Y Venom helicopter during an aerial gunnery range at Naval Air Facility El Centro, California, July 16, 2020. The range was part of Exercise Summer Fury, a three-week training evolution conducted by Marines and sailors with 3rd MAW, 1st Marine Division and the 1st Marine Logistics Group to refine the capability of the Marine Air-Ground Task Force to conduct expeditionary advanced basing operations.
