Soldiers assigned to 1st Battalion, 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) and a bugler from the U.S. Army Band, “Pershing’s Own,” conduct modified military funeral honors for U.S. Army 1st Lt. Donald Bailey in Section 32 of Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia, July 20, 2020.
Bailey served with the 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions in Vietnam and was awarded a Silver Star and three Bronze Stars (two with Valor device and one for meritorious achievement).
After the army, Bailey served as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Pennsylvania’s 21st district.
