(June 22, 2020) Master Chief Avionics Technician Robert McGuire, a native of Modesto, Calif., supervises Sailors and Puget Sound Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS & IMF) workers as they load a crash and salvage crane onto the flight deck of Nimitz-class nuclear aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70). These cranes are used for maneuvering inoperable aircraft and combating casualties aboard the ship. Carl Vinson is currently undergoing regularly scheduled maintenance pierside in Bremerton, Wash.
