200601-N-OQ778-1041 GULF OF OMAN (June 1, 2020) Chief Boatswain’s Mate Osvaldo Ramirez, assigned to the guided-missile destroyer USS Truxtun (DDG 103), signals to the pilot of an MH-60R, attached to the “Swamp Foxes” of Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron 74, on the flight deck June 1, 2020. Truxtun is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and Pacific through the Western Indian Ocean and three critical choke points to the free flow of global commerce.
