Derek Andrade, assigned to Marine Fighter Attack Squadron (VMFA) 323 and embarked aboard aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68), performs maintenance on avionics equipment July 13, 2012, in The Pacific Ocean. Nimitz was under way participating in the Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) 2012 exercise. RIMPAC is a U.S. Pacific Command-hosted biennial multinational maritime exercise designed to foster and sustain international cooperation on the security on the world.
