Marines with Combat Logistics Battalion (CLB) 31, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) attach a block of cement to a CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 265 (Reinforced), 31st MEU, for helicopter support team (HST) training, Kin Blue, Okinawa, Japan, June 18, 2020. The HST training was conducted to increase proficiency at executing external lifts. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps’ only continuously forward-deployed MEU, provides a flexible and lethal force ready to perform a wide range of military operations as the premier crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region. The 31st MEU has implemented strict health protection measures and will continue to conduct mission essential training in support of regional security and stability.
