Army Col. (Dr.) Vic Adamson prepares a syringe as part of Operation Honest Dart in the Ali Sabieh district of Djibouti, Africa, on Oct. 18. Adamson, a 1976 graduate of the University of Auburn's School of Veterinarian Medicine, is a member of the 350th Civil Affairs Command out of Pensacola, Fla., a member of Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa. Adamson and his team recently wrapped up a month-long Veterinary Civil Action Program in the Djiboutian countryside that was dedicated to vaccinating the animals of local herdsmen and educating them on the benefits of preventative medicine.
