Brig. Gen. Clark W. LeMasters Jr., deputy commander of Support Operations under NATO Training Mission-Afghanistan and the 13th Expeditionary Sustainment Command at Fort Hood, addresses soldiers of the 49th Movement Control Battalion during a breakfast at Bagram Air Base, Afghanistan, July 18. The MCB falls under LeMaster's command back in Texas, but while deployed they report to someone else. The close ties from Fort Hood however remain; the general and his sergeant major want to make sure the newly deployed soldiers are on the right track, set goals for their deployment and that they are well-taken care of by their current chain of command.
