The first A-10 Thunderbolt II sortie for operational readiness exercise Beverly Midnight 12-03 prepares for launch on Osan Air Base's runway, July 24, 2012. Osan airmen are in the fourth simulated wartime contingency exercise executed in 2012 that will test the base's ability to defend and execute the mission in a heightened state of readiness. Osan's airmen provide combat ready forces for close air support, air strike control, counter air, interdiction, theater airlift, and communications in the defense of the Republic of Korea.
