Members of the United States Marine Corps (USMC) Chemical Biological Incident Response Force (CBIRF) work with UH-60M Blackhawks flown by the West Virginia National Guard’s Charlie Company, 1st Battalion 1-150th Aviation Regiment to practice aerial insertion and extraction maneuvers and operations, along with low-angle patient packaging and retrieval operations at the Hobet All-Hazards Training Center in Madison, West Virginia, August 14, 2020. The 500-person active duty CBIRF unit headquartered at Naval Support Facility Indian Head, Maryland, is the primary response force to respond to Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, or High Explosive (CBRNE) threats in the National Capital Region.
