Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion, U.S. Army South conducted a validation exercise of the battalion’s deployment of the contingency command post personnel from Aug. 10-14 to establish standard operating procedures in preparation for hurricane season at Joint Base San Antonio- Fort Sam Houston, Texas. On Aug. 13, personnel from Kelly Air Force Base inspected the battalion’s equipment to ensure if it was properly secured and could go on an airplane in an actual deployment.
