Barnett, right, commander, Navy Region Northwest, converses with Chief Aviation Boatswain's Mate (Handling) Christina Duvall, a native of San Diego, on the use of an Open Bay Fire Fighting Tool (OBFFT) on the flight deck of Nimitz-class nuclear aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70). An OBFFT is used by the ship's crash and salvage team to combat aircraft fires. Carl Vinson is currently undergoing regularly scheduled maintenance pierside in Bremerton, Wash.
