JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (Aug. 10, 2020) – Lt. Cmdr. Amy Aparicio conducts neonatal resuscitation training with a simulated patient at Naval Hospital Jacksonville’s Labor & Delivery unit. Aparicio, a native of Bettendorf, Iowa, holds a Master of Science in Nursing (Clinical Nurse Specialist) degree from Point Loma Nazarene University. “These trainings allow us to practice our skills, communicate effectively with our team, and look at our care processes in a safe environment. This is just one of the ways that we optimize readiness and training, and ensure that we provide safe, high quality, patient-centered health care."
