Brig. Gen. Orlando Salinas, deputy commanding general, U.S. Army South presents eleven retiring soldiers with awards during the Fort Sam Houston retirement ceremony held, July 26, at the Quadrangle. Salinas spoke to the retiring soldiers and their family about their dedication to service and the need to be ambassadors in their communities, telling their Army story to try and make a difference in their surrounding communities.
