CAMP ZAMA, Japan - U.S. Army Japan Headquarters, August 20, 2020 in honor of Lt. Gen. Yoshihide Yoshida, Japan Ground Self-Defense Force's Ground Component Command's Commanding General, an Honors Ceremony was rendered by Maj. Gen. Viet. X. Luong, USARJ's Commanding General.
Following the ceremony Yoshida and Luong discussed joint readiness amid COVID-19 challenges. USARJ will continue bilateral-contingency planning, strengthening of our multi-domain capabilities, and achieving enhancements in the joint war fight. We will uphold our commitment to a free and open INDOPACIFIC, by continuing to build capacity and interoperability between forces.
