The Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control truck idles in a line in front of a fire truck and an Air Force Emergency Management vehicle during a fuel spill exercise Sept. 2, 2020, at Dover Air Force Base, Delaware. The 436th Security Forces Squadron, the 436th Logistics Readiness Squadron and the 436th Civil Engineer Squadron, to include the fire department and emergency operations center, all played vital roles in the exercise. The annual exercise is intended to test the base’s response to large fuel spill incidents and ensure its members can perform necessary operations to mitigate damages to the base and surrounding environment.
