YOKOSUKA, Japan (Sept. 3, 2020) - Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Sara Closs, from Long Island, New York, prepares an alginate mouth impression aboard U.S. 7th Fleet flagship USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19). Blue Ridge's medical personnel are taking increased precautionary measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, including wearing extra personal protective equipment such as face shields and hair nets. Blue Ridge is the oldest operational ship in the Navy and, as 7th Fleet command ship, actively works to foster relationships with allies and partners in the Indo-Pacific region.
