A Soldier from the NATO-led Kosovo Force mission, who is organic to the Oregon Army National Guard’s 2nd Battalion, 162nd Infantry Regiment, demonstrates how to operate a javelin anti-tank missile system to troops from the Army of North Macedonia Sept. 1, 2020, at Krivolak Training Area, North Macedonia. The demonstration was a part of “infantry day” within the multinational training exercise Reinforced Dam which took place from Sept. 1 to Sept. 7. Troops from both the U.S. and North Macedonia trained alongside each other in situational combat scenarios, weapons cross training, and combined maneuvers. The exercise helped to enhance the partnership between the two nations and strengthen North Macedonia’s recent accession into NATO in support of enduring stability and security throughout Europe.
