A simulated “kill card” is placed on the windshield of a 569th U.S. Forces Police Squadron vehicle after an 86th Airlift Wing Inspector General evaluator determined personnel inside the vehicle were too close to the simulated blast zone of a simulated vehicle-borne improvised explosive device during Exercise Operation Varsity 20-03 at Kapaun Air Station, Germany, Sept. 3, 2020. The card reads “You have failed to take the appropriate action(s) at the appropriate time. You have been killed.” The individual must then demonstrate the proper action(s) to take at the appropriate time to ensure survival. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Kristof J. Rixmann)
