SOUTH CHINA SEA (Sept. 6, 2020) Cpl. James N. Wasitowski, a tiltrotor crew chief with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 262 (Reinforced), 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), and a native of Ringoes, New Jersey, prepares to land in an MV-22B Osprey with VMM-262 (REIN), 31st MEU, during a communication exercise aboard amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6). America, flagship of America Amphibious Ready Group (ARG), 31st MEU team, is operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
