Brig. Gen. Mark McCormack took command of the 28th Infantry Division during a change of command ceremony Sept. 18, 2020 at Fort Indiantown Gap. McCormack is the division’s 39th commander. The 28th is America’s oldest continuously-serving Army division, with elements of the unit tracing their lineage to the formation of Ben Franklin’s Associators in 1747.
