U.S. Marine Corps Lt. Col. Anthony Mercado, commanding officer, Task Force Ellis, I Marine Expeditionary Force (MEF), loads a M104 non-lethal grenade during a live fire deck shoot aboard amphibious dock landing ship USS Comstock (LSD 45) on September 24th, 2020. The purpose of this range was to train Marines and Sailors in non-lethal munitions for crowd control. Task Force Ellis, comprised of U.S. Marines and Sailors from I MEF, deployed aboard the USS Comstock (LSD 45) to the Indo-Pacific to conduct theater security cooperation activities from July to November 2020.
