YOKOSUKA, Japan (Sept. 8, 2020) - Yeoman 3rd Class Quentin Davis, from Fayetteville, North Carolina, practices checking the tolerances of an M2HB .50 caliber machine gun during crew serve weapon familiarization aboard U.S. 7th Fleet flagship USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19). Weapon familiarization trainings are opportunities for Sailors to train and qualify on various weapon platforms prior to live-fire exercises. Blue Ridge is the oldest operational ship in the Navy and, as 7th Fleet command ship, actively works to foster relationships with allies and partners in the Indo-Pacific region.
