Soldiers from the Group Support Battalion, 5th Special Forces Group, the 101st Sustainment Brigade and the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment perform hot-refuel procedures on a 160th SOAR CH-47 Chinook during the 5th SFG (A) 2020 Organization Week water jump on 15 Sept. 2020, Paris Landing State Park, TN. “Hot-fuel” allows the pilots to not have to fully power-off and or exit their helicopters to conduct a refuel, this being more cost-effective and preserves more valuable training hours.
