The GAFPB includes a basic fitness test featuring 11 shuttle sprints at 10-meters, a timed flexed-arm hang, and a 1,000 meter sprint. The GAFPB Combat Swim includes a 100 meter swim in the Army Combat Uniform and removal of the uniform upon completion while still treading water. The road march event of the GAFPB is a 12-kilometer ruck march carrying minimum of a 35-pounds performed in less than two hours. The German Armed Forces Badge weapon’s qualification event is comprised of a pistol marksmanship test at Udairi Range in Camp Buehring, Kuwait.
